DAVAO CITY – A soldier was killed during an encounter with the New Peoples Army in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon Thursday morning.
Colonel Eduardo Gubat, spokesperson of the Eastern Mindanao Command said soldiers of the 8th Infantry Battalion engaged the NPAs in a one-hour gunbattle in Barangay Indalasa, Malaybalay City at 8:00 am.
The Army, however, did not name the casualty. Gubat said pursuit operation is still ongoing. (davaotoday.com)
