DSWD allots 4.85 million pesos for affected residents of Maguindanao conflict

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has allotted 4.85 million pesos for the residence affected by the ongoing armed conflict in Maguindanao, Palace said on Sunday.

Presidential Communications Operations Office Secretary Herminio Coloma, Jr. said around 2,090 families of 10, 450 individulas from seven barangays in the town of Datu Salibo, Maguindanao are currently residing in six evacuation centers due to the military offensives declared by the armed forces against the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters.

The armed forces declared an all-out offensives against the BIFF claiming the Moro insurgent group aided suspected terrorists Zulkifli bin Hir, also known as Marwan and Abdul Basit Usman. The two were targets during the foiled Oplan Exodus on January 25.
