DAVAO CITY – A 15-minute skirmish between the New People’s Army and the joint elements of the armed forces’ 29th Infantry Battalion and the 13th Public Safety Battalion of the Philippine National Police ensued Wednesday noon in Barangay Rojales, Carmen, Agusan del Norte.
The military claimed in a statement that they recovered the following: three (3) M16A1 rifle; three (3) AK 47 rifles; one (1) US Carbine Cal.30; one (1) M203 Grenade Launcher; two (2) Homemade guns (Paltik); two (2) .45 Cal Pistols; several Rifle Grenades; and several 40mm ammo.
Major Ezra Balagtey of the Eastern Mindanao Command (Eastmincom) said no one was reported to be hurt during the clash.
