Senator tells AFP, PNP “stop fighting in public”

Feb. 05, 2015

Senator Francis Escudero has asked the Armed Forces and the National Police to stop quarreling in public after the two agencies traded accusation over responsibility and liability to the death of 44 members of the police’s Special Action Force commandos in Mamasapano, Maguindanao.

“You are not at war with each other, so shut up and stop fighting in public,” Escudero said.

Instead of bickering in public, the military and police leadership should take their cases to the Board of Inquiry (BOI) and other probe panels investigating the Mamasapano carnage, Escudero said.
