Manobo Lumads from the hinterlands of Kapalong Davao del Norte, take refuge at the Haran compound maintained by the United Church of Christ in the Philippines.
The Manobos expressed fear of getting hit in the crossfire between New People’s Army guerrillas and the Army. The lumads also claimed that the Army backs the armed militias under the Alamara, Magahat and Black Fighter.
The Manobos are alarmed with the new declaration of a pangayaw, or tribal war, against them.
