DAVAO CITY Department of Public Works and Highways Secretary Hermogenes E. Ebdane Jr. said the government is pushing for the construction of flyover in Ulas in line with the Arroyo administrations agenda of providing social services to the people.
The proposed flyover, to be called the Diosdado Macapagal (Ulas) Flyover, being pursued by the DPWH would relieve the daily traffic headaches of motorists plying the Davao-Digos , Davao-Bukidnon roads and Davao City diversion road, Ebdane said last week.
A team of experts from the DPWH were in Davao City last week to conduct engineering and traffic surveys along the Ulas junction. The flyover project will cost 504 million pesos.
The project requires the construction of a four-lane concrete bridge, the widening of existing roads, and construction of detour roads for the continuous flow of traffic. (Philippine Information Agency)
