Agrarian reform chief: only SC can stop Tagum farmers ‘installation’

Agrarian Reform Secretary Rafael Mariano said it is only the Supreme Court that could stop him from installing 159 agrarian reform beneficiaries in Tagum City.

Farmers’ occupation in banana farm halted; police flouts DAR’s order, seeks court clarification

Hundreds of farmers were dismayed as they were prevented from taking over awarded lands today, following the failure of the local police to provide security and to aid the Agrarian Reform Secretary in installing the beneficiaries and their families.
