A group of Tausug artists from Sulu have accused a prominent Davao-based nongovernment group abuse, among them serving them food that was not halal, according to this Sun.Star Davao report. According to the artists, they traveled all the way from Sulu only to be treated unkindly by the Initiatives for International Dialogue, an NGO that was known for its international work (among them helping the East Timorese people) and for promoting “people-to-people solidarity.”
