Ateneo de Davao University will have its University Commencement on Saturday morning, 23 March 2013, at the AdDU Martinez Sports Center, Matina Campus.
Close to 1,403 graduates from the School of Arts and Sciences, School of Business and Governance, School of Nursing, School of Engineering and Architecture, and School of Education will receive their undergraduate degrees. The 2013 Commencement celebrates the 65th Year of the University’s mission in Southern Mindanao.
There will be 97 students graduating with academic honors, led by Paolo Cansino, AB Political Science, cum laude, Class valedictorian, and Louis Miguel Sta. Rita, BS Computer Science, magnacum laude, Class salutatorian.
Joberlyn Manaois, BS Marketing, cum laude, will receive the Faith and Justice Award. Maureene Ann Villamor, AB Psychology, will receive the Leadership Award.
Most Rev. Romulo G. Valles, D.D., Archbishop of Davao, will be the guest of honor and will address the graduates.
The Baccalaureate Mass will be held on Friday afternoon, with Fr. Joel E. Tabora, S.J., President, presiding and preaching.
