DAVAO CITY – Inventors in Davao region responded to the call of Department of Science and Technology(DOST) to participate in the Regional Invention Contest and Exhibits during a three-day event showcasing their finished product and researches at a mall in Matina Davao City. Rice 2015 is a nationwide event conducted to recognize the works of Filipino inventors.
The event is hosted by the Technology Application and Promotion Institute (TAPI) and the Department of Science and Technology regional office in Davao.
The group of Yssa Gumban from Colegio de San Ignacio in Buhagin Davao City shows the results of their study to produce charcoal from calamansi, papaya seeds and bamboo fiber through stem activation.
