DAVAO CITY— A total of 17,284 local and overseas job vacancies will be up for application in the Kalayaan Job Fair 2016 on Sunday, June 12.
The Department of Labor and Employment XI said that the top ten job vacancies for local employment include: call center agents, sales support representatives, market researchers/agents, promo merchandisers, accounting clerks,office/admin staff associates, service crew, sales consultants, delivery drivers, and technical support representatives.
The Kalayaan Job Fair 2016 themed: “Kalayaan 2016: Pagkakaisa, Pag-aambagan, Pagsulong,” will be held in two areas in the region: New City Hall in Tagum City and NCCC Mall, Kadayawan Hall in Davao City.
For overseas, the top ten job vacancies include: hotel attendants, household service workers, nurses, general cleaners, waiters/waitresses, hotel housekeepers, service crew, laborers, helpers, and heavy equipment drivers.
The pre-registration and mini job fair has started since Tuesday, June 7 and will run until Saturday, June 11 when five to 10 different employers will be present daily to entertain interested applicants.
Labor and Employment Secretary Rosalinda Dimapiliz-Baldoz said that this year’s Independence Day theme symbolizes the government’s effort to take care of the welfare of the Filipino workers, especially the OFWs who are working abroad.
“This shows the government’s united action, along with the private sector to ensure that the economy’s growth in the country includes the development on the lives of the Filipino workers and their families,” Baldoz said. (davaotoday.com)
