Tagum’s Rellon, Gementiza retain seats in government

TAGUM CITY—  The Commission on Elections’ (Comelec) Board of Canvassers here proclaimed on Tuesday, May 10, re-electionists Mayor Allan Rellon and Vice Mayor Geterito Gementiza as the city’s Mayor-elect and Vice Mayor-elect, respectively.

Rellon, a PDP-Laban mayoral bet, garnered 55,388 votes while Gementiza obtained 59,554 votes.

Both will assume into office on June 30, the poll body here said. As of 8:30 a.m, voter turnout was 112,920 out of the 132,737 registered voters in this city.

Comelec is set to proclaim the ten city councilors after all votes have been canvassed. (davaotoday.com)
