Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte facilitated the release of jail warden Jose Mervin Coquilla from the NPA in Monkayo, Compostela Valley Monday. This time the mayor spoke of coalition government before the community and local leaders who witnessed the release.
Duterte, who espoused a coalition government with the Communist Party of the Philippines recently, explained here that with the coalition-type of government “the Filipinos will have a better life.”
Duterte also condemns the present form of government where the resources of the provinces and municipalities are sent to the central government but are only lost to corruption.
