Former President Rodrigo Duterte made true of his announcement Saturday to run again for mayor of Davao City, as he filed his certificate of candidacy on Monday, October 7, 2024, with his son incumbent mayor Sebastian ‘Baste’ Duterte as his running mate for vice mayor.
Former President Rodrigo Duterte said he is open to run for mayor of Davao City again in the 2025 midterm election.
The Makabayan Coalition, which consists of progressive party-lists and sectoral organizations, is fielding a lineup for the 2025 senatorial elections consisting of activists, party-list lawmakers and leaders from the marginalized groups.
