Family of 7 perish in Diwalwal landslide

A family of seven was among those killed in a landslide in the mining village of Barangay Mount Diwata (known as Diwalwal) in Monkayo municipality in Davao de Oro Thursday as heavy rain and winds hit Davao Region since January 16.

Davao de Oro declares state of calamity due to series of earthquakes

The Davao de Oro provincial government has placed the province under a state of calamity due to the impact of a series of earthquakes since March 6, which local officials said affected more than 200,000 families.
