Officials and local government employees of the Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) in Cotabato City wore black shirts today to call for “truth, justice, and peace” over the fatal clash in Mamasapano, Maguindanao that claimed the lives of 44 Philippine National Police Special Action Force, nine Moro Islamic Liberation Front fighters and seven civilians.

Regional Governor Mujiv Hataman led the program after the employees’ flag ceremony Monday morning.

A banner held by the employees read “There is no peace without justice. There is no justice without truth.” After the ceremony, the employees released white and blue balloons.
