Police warn motorists against using PNP plates

Dec. 11, 2015

DAVAO CITY – The Police Regional Office 11 warned civilian and police motorists against using plates with the word “POLICE” for personal interests.

In a Philippine Information Agency dispatch, Chief Inspector Grace De la Cerna said civilian or police personnel who will be caught violating this policy carries a maximum penalty of six years in prison.

De la Cerna said the police personnel must take the lead acting as models in this policy which is abused by criminals to elude arrests by authorities.

She said only the Police Civil Relations Group has the authority to determine those who are accredited to use commemorative plates. (davaotoday.com)
