DAVAO CITY, Philippines — The Davao City Water District announced that several villages in the city will experience low water pressure to total no water.
According to Davao City Water District’s advisory, the agency’s booster station will be affected by power interruptions on Oct. 16 and 17.
“Although the power cuts are shorter in duration, DCWD needs additional time for re-switching on of the affected facility, pressure build up and line delivery, thus the longer duration of water service interruptions,” the DCWD said.
Areas will be affected are: Entire Talomo, Ulas, Bangkal, Matina, Matina Aplaya, Ecoland, Ma-a, Langub, Bucana, Downtown, Bo. Obrero, Cabaguio, Agdao, Madapo, Marfori, San Rafael, Circumferential Road, Bacaca, J.P. Laurel Avenue, Bajada, Lanang, Bo. Pampanga, Angliongto / Mamay Road, Sasa until Km. 12, left side portion of Diversion Road (from junction of Bangkal to corner Catalunan Grande Road), and some areas in Bago Aplaya (Gulfview Executive Homes, Versari Village, Castro Village and Sto. Niño Village).
In Buhangin area: From J.P Laurel Avenue to DDF Mandug, from Crossing Milan to Villa Park Subd. and from Ma-a Bridge to DPWH Panacan including Dumoy WSS connections in Ciudad de Esperanza, Camp Catitipan, AFP Mutual Homes and Davao International Airport
In Panacan, the ICSAMA, Crystal Meadows, Tierra Verde Village, EMI Ville Homes, Empress Subd., Tierra Niño Village, PMPC Village, Landmark II and III, San Juan Village and Vista Verde I and II, will also be affected.
The DCWD noted that the water supply may be restored earlier if work goes smoothly or later if unforeseen problems arise.
“The would-be affected consuming public is hereby advised to store water in clean containers,” DCWD said. (davaotoday.com)
