DAVAO CITY – Department of Social Welfare and Development Secretary Corazon Soliman is scheduled to attend the Serbisyo Caravan in Talaingod, Davao del Norte on Friday.
In a statement to the press, DSWD Regional Director Priscilla Razon said Soliman will lead the ceremonial turnover of around P14 million worth of services and projects for 13, 357 beneficiaries in Talaingod.
“We aim to disburse social pension to 739 indigent older persons, as well as render offsite over-the-counter payment to Pantawid Pamilya beneficiaries and distribute Debit Cards to IP beneficiaries of the Modified Conditional Cash Transfer program,” Razon said.
Razon said PhilHealth will also be distributing Members’ Data Records and IDs to selected beneficiaries.
She said DSWD will also be distributing wheel chairs, crutches, walkers, educational supplies and family food packs. Razon said there will also be a groundbreaking ceremony for the upcoming construction of a multi-purpose pavement with storage facility.
Expected to deliver their respective services in Talaingod on Friday are more than 50 national agencies in Davao Region.
Talaingod is a frontier town of Davao del Norte to the border with Bukidnon. The town is inhabited by the Ata-Manobos.
