DAVAO CITY – At least 33 drug surrenderees in Davao City were trained to respond to disasters in the bid of the government to help them reform.
The week-long training on disaster reduction and management was initiated by the Regional Public Safety Battalion (RPSB) 11 of the Philippine National Police and Davao City’s Central 911.
In a dispatch by the City Information Office Senior Supt. Joel Consulta, head of RPSB 11, said the drug surrenderees were from barangays Tigatto, Maa, 76-A, Matina Aplaya and Matina Pangi whic are all flood-prone villages.
“After this training, the drug surrenderees will already be able to properly respond to emergencies or disaster,” he said.
