An alliance of migrant workers observed the National Day of Mourning for the members of Philippine National Police Special Action Force (PNP SAF) killed in the Mamasapano encounter with their own version of Global Day of Mourning for Justice.
Migrante International chairperson Garry Martinez said “heads must roll” in the fatal clash between Moro rebels and PNP SAF.
“They were sent to their own death row on specific orders,” said Martinez.
The group also criticized President Benigno Aquino III’s speech last Thursday night saying it “elicited more questions than answers and it also made clear to the public that Aquino and his clandestine operators have blood on their hands.”
