Davao City – Tambayan Center for Children’s Rights, Inc., a non-government organization (NGO), is culminating its one-year project that had students undergo a series of workshop under Respect Education Program (REP), an anti-bullying program.
REP was conceived by Respect Education Foundation, an organization in Netherlands, and was adapted and implemented by Tambayan and its partner PASALI Philippines, Inc. to several schools.
The program encourages schools to adapt a new teaching approach that gives more value to relationships and creative way of teaching.
“This approach is more on values relation and creative, outside-the-box teaching that caters to multiple intelligence of students,” Tambayan staff Louise Suamen said.
Tambayan hopes to see more students “respect and value relationships” with their classmates and stop bullying. (davaotoday.com)
