Various human rights and people’s organizations across Mindanao will conduct their own fact-finding mission on the Mamasapano incident which killed civilians and sent villagers to evacuation centers.
The activity dubbed People’s Fact Finding Mission will be held on February 9 and will be led by Suara Bangsamoro and Kawagib Moro Human Rights Group
They will hold psychosocial sessions in the affected communities and an in-depth investigation of the alleged US troops’ involvement in the encounter that led to the killings of 44 Special Action Force commandos and some Moro Islamic Liberation Front and the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters.
The result of the mission will be forwarded to Congress.
