DAVAO CITY — A total of 39 brand new vehicles were given to the Army and the city police here on Wednesday, March 16.
Four brand new Isuzu pick-ups were given to the Task Force Davao, while the Davao City Police Office received 35 brand new Isuzu patrol pick ups during the turn-over even graced by Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte.
The new vehicles were also paraded during the annual Parada Dabawenyo held on the 79th Araw ng Davao.
Police Senior Superintendent Vicente Danao said the new vehicles will be distributed to the different police stations across the city, particularly in the business area covered by stations 1, 2 and 3, which are among the populated districts.
DCPO now has 91 patrol vehicles while the TFD has around 24 vehicles.
Last January 25, the city also turned over 54 multicabs and 86 motorcycles to barangay officials. (davaotoday.com)
