DAVAO CITY – Local government agencies in Tagum held a fund-raising campaign to support the supplementary feeding programs of day care centers in the city.
Last Friday, the City Social and Development Office (CSWDO) and the City Nutrition Council (CNC) conducted the “Piso Walk Campaign for Nutrition” that served as opening of the month-long observance of Nutrition Month at Tagum Trade and Cultural Pavilion.
The said activity was attended by 93 day care schools in Tagum with more or less 800 day care students and parents.
This year’s theme is “Timbang Iwasto sa Tamang Nutrisyon at Ehersisyo,” which aims to campaign the importance of having proper nutrition and physical activity in the prevention of obesity among general public. (davaotoday.com)
