DAVAO CITY – Members of Tagum’s Finest seized on Tuesday a homemade calibre .45 pistol from a man and his companion who were flagged down by the authorities for not wearing helmets in Barangay La Filipina, Tagum City.
The task group accosted one Michael D. Soriano, 23, a resident of Kapalong, Davao del Norte, and an unnamed companion at Purok Santol in Barangay La Filipina for violation of Republic Act (RA) 4136, otherwise known as the Land Transportation and Traffic Code.
Upon inspection, the team discovered Soriano to be in possession of a homemade caliber .45 pistol with “Serial Number A191477, inserted with one (1) magazine loaded with nine live ammunition.”
Meanwhile, the same special task group, together with the Davao del Norte Provincial Police SWAT Team and in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region XI, also apprehended Jobanie Necer Adtoon last Saturday during a buy-bust operation at Purok Durian, Barangay Apokon in Tagum City.
Adtoon, 29 and a resident of Montevista, Compostela Valley Province was caught in possession of three small sized, heat sealed transparent cellophane containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu.(davaotoday.com)
