DAVAO CITY – After taking a break in imposing rotational brownouts, the Davao Light and Power Co., will resume in imposing power interruptions on May 13 and 14.
The duration of the power interruptions will be 15 minutes.
Rossano Luga, Assistant Vice President for Reputation Enhancement said the first service disruption will be on Friday, May 13 from 11:45 p.m. to 12:00 m.n.
“This will be necessary to transfer the load from Dumoy and Toril Substations to nearby lines to facilitate the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines’ upgrading works on its Matanao Substation,” he said.
Affected by this power outage are customers from Dumoy Barangay Hall, including the entire Toril area.
Another service disruption will be on May 14, Saturday, which will be necessary to conduct a corrective maintenance servicing on Davao Light’s 69 kV line affecting Toril Feeder 2.
“To avoid longer service disruptions, loads from the affected feeder will be temporarily transferred to nearby lines from 1:00 a.m. to 1:15 a.m.. Normalization or return to its normal set up will be from 4:00 a.m. to 4:15 a.m,” Luga said.
Customers affected are those from crossing Bato up to Barangay Inawayan, Toril District.
The DLPC said there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.(davaotoday.com)
