DAVAO CITY — The City Government of Tagum through the city Tourism Council, in cooperation with Kreativ Union of Today’s Artists and Writers (Kuntaw), recently announced its activities for Earth Fest Summer Workshops 2009.
This is an open activity for all cultural tourism oriented individuals from different cities and provinces in the region who want to contribute their skills and talents for the betterment of the ‘Earth as Our Planet, Our Home’.
Its objective is to pay tribute to the richness of our Mother Earth as our home and continue to preserve our richness of our natural waterscape and landscape and maximize the potential of our young generation’s skills and talents in the field of arts.
The series of art workshop are as follows; Earth Paints (visual arts includes paining, sculpture and photography on April 14-19, 2009); Earth Music (includes song writing/composition, voice culture and world music on April 20-24, 2009); Earth Creates (creative and dance arts includes scriptwriting, poetry writing, theater acting, staging and directing, choreography and dance composition on contemporary and hip-hop forms on April 25-29, 2009).
