DAVAO CITY — Two members of the Philippine National Police in Tagum City Police Station were found positive of using illegal drugs.
In a Philippine Information Agency dispatch, Police Chief Inspector Carl Omar Fiel, operations chief of Davao del Norte Provincial Police Office (DNPPO) said that the Provincial Crime Laboratory conducted a random drug testing in TCPS last May 27 and found two police non-commissioned officers to have used illegal drugs.
Fiel said that the names of the personnel will not be released pending their administrative investigation.
DNPPO Director Police Senior Superintendent Ferdinand Sifuentes said that the personnel will face administrative case and will be recommended for dismissal from service.
Sifuentes also said that the two personnel are now placed under the custody of the police station.
The police official also said that all police stations in the province will undergo drug testing.
“We will not announce the date of testing but rest assured we will do this to all police stations,” he said. (davaotoday.com)
