City govt gets 41M for street children

The local government of Davao City received a total of P41.5 million pesos of fund for feeding children.

Department of Social Welfare and Development Regional Director Priscilla Razon handed over P 32 million worth of check to Davao City Mayor’s chief of staff Atty. Nathaniel Dalumpines on Monday for the Supplementary Feeding Program of the city’s day care children.

Razon in a statement said, DSWD also provided a Php 9.5 million NFA iron-fortified rice to the city government for the feeding of day care students. Davao City has 645 day care centers with 26, 392 enrollees.

“As augmentation support in the feeding program of local government units, the DSWD supplementary feeding will be implemented in 120 days,” Razon said.
