DAVAO CITY – The host province of 2015 Palarong Pambansa announced that the closing rites of the sports event will be grand.
“It will not be a simple one but a grand closing ceremony,” said Davao del Norte Provincial Governor Rodolfo P. Del Rosario in a press briefing on Wednesday at Davao del Norte Sports and Tourism Complex.
The opening ceremony last Monday was affected with heavy rains prompting the program organizers to skip some of the parts including the keynote address by Interior Secretary Manuel Roxas.
The province’s sports coordinator, Giovanni Gulanes, said that the provincial government will be rewarding P50,000 to the delegation with the biggest number of Palaro participants present during the closing ceremony.
A reward of P40,000, P30,000, P20,000 and P10,000, respectively, will be given to the delegation with the next succeeding rank in head count of participants.
