A commuter group of is now asking the Supreme Court for a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) against the MRT-LRT fare hike.
The group Riles Laan sa Sambayanan (RILES) Network launched a protest action at the MRT North Avenue Station Monday. Spokesperson Sammy Malunes said “the riding public has already suffered enough from the one month implementation of the burdensome fare hike.”
The group also said that the government is “delaying” the TRO issuance after seeking a 30-day extension to submit a response.
