DAVAO CITY – The Davao Light and Power Company announced on Thursday, June 23 that there will be short power interruptions with 15 to 30 minutes duration on June 25 until June 27 affecting ERA, Bunawan, Tadeco, and Sto. Tomas substations.
Davao Light said the power interruptions are “necessary to facilitate corrective maintenance servicing its ERA Substation.
“To avoid longer duration of power interruptions, load from the affected substation will be transferred to nearby substations on June 25 and 26. Normalization or return of load back to its normal set-up will be on June 27, Monday,” Davao Light said in its advisory.
The first 15-minute power interruption on June 25 will affect power consumers from Talomo bridge in Ulas going to Toril proper, including barangays Dumoy, Bago, and Puan, from 4:00 am to 4:15 am.
The second set of power interruption on June 25 from 10:00 pm to 10:30 pm and on June 27 from 6:00 am to 6:30 am will affect customers from Don Ramon Substation in Bunawan going to Lasang up to Panabo Substation in Cagangohan.
Power consumers from Barangay Malitbog going to Tadeco, Sto. Tomas and part of Kapalong town in Davao del Norte province will also be affected. These include those in Braulio Dujali, Davao Penal Colony, and Sto. Tomas proper.
On June 26, another 15-minute power interruption is scheduled anytime between 12:01 am to 1:00 am and on June 27 between 4:00 am to 5:00 am. Affected areas are from Sandawa Road up to Sasa including Davao City proper, Barrio Obrero, Agdao, Bajada, Buhangin, Lanang, Sasa, Cabantian and Mandug. (davaotoday.com)
