DAVAO CITY, Philippines – Residents in Tugbok, Dumoy, and Toril will experience power interruptions on Sunday, December 3, due to a scheduled maintenance work by Davao Light and Power Co., Inc (DLPC).
Rosanno Luga, DLPC Assistant Vice President for Reputation, said the interruptions will be divided into three sets:
-
The first set of power interruption will take place at 12:01-12:15 am and 8:00-8:15 am of Sunday, affecting DLPC customers in Ulas Crossing to Tugbok Proper.
-
The second set will last for three hours, from 7:00-9:00 am, affecting customers from Barangay Lacson up to Bukidnon-Davao road.
-
The third set will take place at 1:00-1:15 am, affecting customers from Dumoy, Bago Aplaya, Toril and up to Lubogan areas.
Normalization or the return of load from its original set will begin from 9:00 to 9:15. According to Luga, the outages will be due to the upgrade works at DLPC’s substations in Tugbok and Toril.
Substations are a component of electrical transmission that transforms voltage from high to low.
Currently, the Aboitiz-led utility firm has 27 distribution substations in Davao City. (davaotoday.com)
