Two days before the arrival of the Pope Francis, multi-sectoral groups are preparing their own feasts to welcome Pope Francis.
Indigenous peoples from various tribes in Luzon are preparing corn, root crops, bananas, eggs, and coffee, while the urban poor sector will prepare pagpag or food from scraps to symbolize their call of enjoining the pope with their fight against corruption.
Meanwhile, Typhoon Yolanda (International name: Haiyan) survivors will conduct a psycho-social intervention among children-survivors in Tacloban through a story-telling about the life of Pope Francis.
The story-telling aims to encourage the children to participate in welcoming the pope who will be visiting Tacloban on January 17.
