Thousands walk their way from entrance points leading to Crocodile Park in Davao City to attend the Thanksgiving Party for President-elect Rodrigo Duterte.
DAVAO CITY – The Davao City Police Office has estimated a crowd of 500,000 during Saturday’s “One Love, One Nation” thanksgiving party for President-elect Rodrigo Duterte.
Even with the heavy rains thousands still remained to listen to Duterte’s speech and watch the performances from Filipino artists from Manila.
NOT FOR SALE. The police confiscates back packs and umbrellas from party-goers since bringing it inside the event area is not allowed. However, after the party, several party-goers found their belongings missing. No claim stubs were also given to those who left their belongings with the police.
VIPs. Some visitors arrive at the area using a helicopter.
HOT ITEM. Because of the heat, small businessmen find selling hats inside the park as opportunity for additional income.
MASSIVE CROWD. Thousands of attendees bring their family to join the thanksgiving party for Duterte. Some of them were also expecting to see celebrities from Manila.

RECYCLABLE. Party-goers throw empty water bottles in one place to make it easy for garbage segregation.
MINI SCREEN. Since they are far from the stage where President-elect Rodrigo Duterte is delivering his speech, some of the attendees watch him from a laptop put up by a media outfit covering the event.
