DAVAO CITY – After 25 minutes, the regular session of Sangguniang Panlungsod here ended on Tuesday after the councilors finished all their agenda.
Majority floor leader Third District Councilor Bernard Al-ag said during the four previous sessions they have already finished the agenda which indicates that the councilors did their jobs.
“This is an indication nga ang 17th council naghimo sa ilang trabaho ug nag aksyon sa mga proposal nga gipasa diri (This is an indication that the 17th City Council did its job and act on the proposals submitted here),” Al-ag told the members of the press Tuesday.
The session started at 10:00 am and ended after 25 minutes.
Among the resolutions approved were the Special Non Working Holiday for the Indigenous People on October 29 which was proposed by IP Mandatory Representative Halila Sudagar and the approval of budget for the barangays proposed by Association of Barangay Council President January Duterte.
Al-ag clarified that the session did not end early because some of the councilors left the session early.
“If you look at the agenda, we do not have unfinished business. So, this is the fast action of the council,” he said.
He also said the Council has no pending items. “All the items now are in the committee level, so its up to the committee chairman to act fast on these items,” Al-ag said. (davaotoday.com)
