DAVAO CITY — The feisty presidential candidate Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago is at it again with her “pick-up” lines.
At the second Panagtigom Presidential Candidates Forum held at the University of the Philippines in Mindanao here, Santiago delivered four pick-up lines at the start of her speech, earning her cheers from the crowd, most of whom are students.
Among Santiago’s pick-up lines were:
· Kailangan mo ba ng tutor? Handa akong turuan ka para ibigin ako.
(Do you need a tutor? I am here to teach you how to love me.)
· Gusto mo bang ibili kita ng salbabida? Kasi baka malunod ka sa pagmamahal ko.
(Do you want me to buy you a floater? Because my love for you may drown you.)
· Pwede na ba kitang tubusin? Anlaki na kasi ng interes ko sayo.
(Can I redeem you now? Because I have a high interest on you.)
· Kung magiging subject ka, sana ikaw ang pinakamahirap. Para sayo lang ako babagsak.
(If you were a subject , I hope you are the most difficult. So that I will fall for you.)
Santiago was the second guest of the UP’s election forum. The first guest last April 13 was a representative of Vice President Jejomar Binay, Atty. Jay Layug.
UP Mindanao Public Relations Officer Rene Estremera said the forum is UP’s “public service initiative” to promote clean and honest elections. The university will hold its mock elections on April 27. (davaotoday.com)
