DAVAO CITY, Philippines — The P3 million reward money for the arrest of the suspects behind the Roxas market bombing incident has yet to be released awaiting for the final report from the police operatives, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte said Wednesday.
“We are waiting for the arresting police operatives to submit to us a report and we will have the Public Safety and Security Command Center ( PSSCC) to review it, and we will give the reward accordingly,” she said.
Special Investigation Task Group Davao Chief P/Sr. Supt. Valeriano de Leon said the report would verify if the arrest of the three alleged suspects were based from a certain offence or tipped off from a source.
“We really have to wait for the report of the 6th Infantry Division (ID) if the arrest is based on in flagrante delicto (offences) or based on information from a source,” he said.
TJ Tagadaya Macabalang, Wendel Apostol Facturan, and Musali Mustapha, members of the Maute Terrorist Group, were nabbed in Cotabato City on Oct. 7, 2016 who who allegedly carried out the Sept. 2 Davao City blast that killed 15 people.
De Leon said he was informed by retired Army Major General Benito de Leon, chief of the Public Safety and Security Command Center that the city government set parameters in giving the P3 million reward money.
“He said that they are waiting for the formal report of the investigation as well of those who were help the arrest if they will qualify from the parameters they had set,” he said. (davaotoday.com)
