Davao City Mayor Rodrigo has ignored various recommendations by the Commission on Audit (COA), including an advice to sue his erring officials who had direct hand in the controversial purchase of rice at a whopping amount of P45,000 per sack, official documents have shown.
Team Nograles announced yesterday it has secured a copy of a COA recommendation submitted to Duterte indicating that the Mayor must sue for the rice overpricing and ordered the return the public funds equivalent to the overpriced amount. The rice was purchased at P900 per kilo as against COA’s recommendation of only P18 per kilo.
