DAVAO CITY – The Department of Social Welfare and Development has accomplished the survey of 88 percent of 739,770 households for its Listahanan survey.
The percentage is equivalent to 699,529 families.
The Listahanan (list) is the DSWD’s information management system which lists poor families in the country who are in need of assistance. DSWD said the program aims to provide list to the National and Local Government units, and social protection stakeholders.
DSWD XI Regional Director Priscilla Razon said they have already covered 88 percent in both rural and urban barangays of the target households in the region.
Razon said that 643,788 Family Asssessment Forms (FAFs) have already been encoded.
“This will also serve as a tool in determining the potential beneficiaries of existing programs and services,” she said.
Razon said they are targeting to end the enumeration on August 30.
In a statement to the press, DSWD said that throughout the country, there are already 12,266,093 (80.09%) households assessed from the target of 15.3 million.
“Families who were not visited during the regular enumeration shall be given a chance to appeal and be assessed and after validation, the official and final list of poor families shall be shared with data users as their basis in selecting beneficiaries of social protection programs,” DSWD added.(davaotoday.com)
