Militant group Bagong Alyansang Makabayan in Southern Mindanao urged for a speedy investigation of top officials over the deadly clash in Mamasapano, Maguindanao that killed dozens of police.
According to Sheena Duazo, spokesperson of Bayan, the incident “brings
up questions as to who were responsible, what series of events led up to the deaths of the police officers involved, and especially, what is the role of US military in the police operations?”US troops have seen conducting support operations after the incident, dealing with the bodies of the dead and treating the wounded.
Duazo called into attention many questions surrounding the incident
especially on the role of US military in the entire operation.
