Comelec extends deadline for reactivation of overseas voting records to Dec. 9

DAVAO CITY – The Department of Foreign Affairs’ Overseas Voting Secretariat (DFA-OVS) announces that the Commission on Elections has extended the period of filing of “Application for Reactivation” from October 31 to December 9.

The DFA, in a statement, said overseas voters can also apply for reactivation by sending a copy of the duly accomplished Application for Reactivation (OVF No. 1G), including its attachment, if applicable, by sending it through e-mail at overseasvoting. reactivation@comelec.gov.ph or through facsimile to (0632) 521-29-52.

An overseas voter can also send their application personally or through mail at the nearest Embassy, Consulate, Mission, MECO or at the Office for Overseas Voting (OFOV) in COMELEC, Manila.

The form for Application for Reactivation is available at any Embassy, Consulate, Mission, MECO or may be downloaded from the COMELEC (www.comelec.gov.ph) and DFA-OVS (www.dfa-oavs.gov.ph) websites.
