DAVAO CITY – The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in Davao Oriental turns over 1,010 houses to typhoon Pablo survivors in the towns of Boston, Cateel, Baganga, and Caraga.

In a statement to the press, DSWD Provincial Coordinator Gemma dela Cruz said, “typhoon victims here may have lost their houses but they say they remain hopeful and resilient.”

Dela Cruz pointed out that “with these newly built houses, they are now able to start a new life in the safety and comforts of their new homes.”

The housing turnover was implemented under the Modified Shelter Assistance Program (MSAP) of the DSWD and the Provincial Government where around 17,420 permanent housing units have already been implemented and turned over since 2013. (davaotoday.com)
