CPP:  Robredo is either stupid, lying or accommodating Palparan

The Communist Party of the Philippines issues on January 13 the following statement:

In hopes of justifying the Aquino regime’s failure to arrest fugitive Gen. Jovito Palparan, Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary Jesus Robredo announced that The Butcher is being protected by a politician who has helped him evade arrest.  In claiming such knowledge before the mass media, Robredo is either lying, stupid, or is himself accommodating Palparan.

If Palparan is indeed under the protection of a politician and Robredo knew this, it is downright stupid for him to disclose such “intelligence reports” to the public — informing the hunted on what the hunter knows. The Butcher would now simply shift tactics and dig another hole to hide in.

That is unless Robredo is lying, coming out in the open with an empty boast, hoping to make the government appear competent in the face of growing public doubt about its capability to arrest Palparan.  It has been close to a month since the Malolos Regional Trial Court issued an arrest warrant for Palparan, but Robredo and other officials of the Aquino government are still at the level of claiming that they will have The Butcher “sooner or later.”

The confidence with which Aquino’s officials declare that they will soon have Palparan feeds widespread suspicions that The Butcher is actually in talks with government representatives in order to strike some sort of accommodation to put him under the custody of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

The Aquino regime is aware that such an arrangement will be completely unacceptable to the Filipino people.  On the other hand, Aquino knows full well that he cannot completely execrate Palparan because his terror tactics are still being implemented and considered a model under the current regime’s Oplan Bayanihan war of suppression against the people.
