DAVAO CITY – Two members of the 69th Infantry Battalion (69IB) were ambushed by suspected New People’s Army (NPA) fighters in Paquibato District here Wednesday morning, according to the Army.
Commander of the 10th Infantry Division Maj. Gen. Eduardo Año identified the two as Pfc. Ericson F. Guling who died in the incident and Cpl. Franey F. Neyra who was able to escape and report the incident in a military detachment near the area.
