DAVAO CITY — The Davao City field office of the Department of Trade & Industry (DTI)has announced that it will conduct entrepreneurship trainings and film showings.
The trainings are scheduled as follows:
May 07-08 – How to start a small business
May 15 – Financial management.
The film showing schedule are as follows:
April 14 – Container gardening;
April 21 – Nutritional snacks; and,
April 29 – Paggawa ng sabon (soap making).
Viewing time is from 1:00 to 5:00pm at the MIAC conference room, third floor of the DTI southern Mindanao building. The DTI office is located at Mintrade bldg., Monteverde-Sales streets., Davao City. Screenings are for free.
These activities are in line with the administration’s drive to provide more jobs particularly in the countryside, one of which is through the promotion of livelihood opportunities. These livelihood opportunities not only offer an alternative or additional source of income for the community, but also help create more entrepreneurs who in turn will act as veritable engines of growth that will propel the development not just of the local, but also of the national economy.
