DAVAO CITY, Philippines — The Davao Light and Power Co. announced Thursday, Mar. 23 that they will conduct two 15-minute power interruptions on March 26 and March 27 affecting the city’s major areas.
The first interruption will take place anytime between 12:01 AM to 1:00 AM and on Monday, anytime between 4:00 AM to 5:00 AM.
Rossano Luga, assistant Vice President for reputation enhancement, said the service disruptions are necessary “to facilitate upgrading works of Davao Light’s 138 kV line along diversion road due to the Maa bridge expansion project of the DPWH in the said area.”
Those who will be affected are customers from Ateneo Grade School in Matina up to Ilang in Tibungco including the entire areas of City Proper, Obrero, Agdao, Bajada, Buhangin, Lanang, Sasa, Cabantian, Mandug and Panacan.
Also included are areas along Toril highway going to Sirawan, Inawayan and Eden.
Luga said they would work on the immediate restoration of the electric service as scheduled or earlier.
“However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances,” he said.
