DAVAO CITY, Philippines—The city government of Tagum projected an increase of its revenue income by around 5.8 percent for next year.
The city’s Information Office on Tuesday said the amount of exactly P1,319,335,455 will fund the city government’s projects and programs for 2018. The amount is P72 million higher than this year’s target of P1,246,440,370.
The projected amount was identified during the “Income Forum” attended by both private and business sectors last May 19 to 20 in Davao City. The forum focused on the budget planning on income estimates of the city government for 2018.
Representatives from Tagum City Bankers Association and Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce attended the budget planning.
During the forum, Virgilio Agunod, CPA of Tagum City Chamber of Commerce took the opportunity of raising the concerns of his fellow businessmen, especially those that relate to their welfare.
The forum was followed with the monthly accomplishment report of the LGU’s Department Heads and the Executive-Legislative Agenda of the local chief executive and the 7th City Council, according to the City Information Office. (davaotoday.com)
