DAVAO CITY — Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio appointed lawyer Zuleika T. Lopez as the new City Administrator.
Lopez was a former secretary of the Sangguniang Panlungsod from 2007 to 2010. She was also appointed by Mayor Sara as the acting City Administrator from 2010 to 2013 before taking over the position of Atty. Jesus Melchor Quitain.
During the weekly meeting of department heads at the City Hall on Monday morning, August 1, which she presided, Lopez vowed to ensure the implementation of the mayor’s 10-point agenda. The new City Administrator will also look into the preparation of the 31st weeklong Kadayawan sa Dabaw celebration, which will start on August 15.
“We are expecting a lot of visitors this year, especially Davao is the hometown of President Rodrigo Duterte,” she said. “We are hoping we will give them the best Kadayawan.”
After her stint ended in the City Government last 2013, she transferred to the Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation – a government-owned and controlled corporation. (davaotoday.com)
